Safe Swiss Cloud provides dedicated Openshift clusters per customer, with zero sharing in the infrastructure environment. These Openshift cluster come in two deployment flavours:

  1. On “bare metal” (dedicated hardware), for maximum performance. This is ideal for high performance production deployments.
  2. On virtual machines (VMs) for maximum convenience and fast setup and ideal for development and testing environments.

Background

Docker containers are an important standard for software deployment while the popularity of microservices architectures means the number of containers per application is increasing. Kubernetes has established itself as a major standard for orchestrating and managing Docker containers.
