Switzerland is one of the safest ranked places to host data centers worldwide

Switzerland has been rankend as one of the safest places in the world to host a data center. These are the findings of the Data Center Risk Index published by the American property management company Cushman & Wakefield.

The report is based on a survey of 4,000 participants worldwide and takes into account ten factors including energy cost, water availability, average Internet bandwidth, ease of doing business, level of corporate tax and political stability.

The top 10 looks as follows:

  1. Iceland
  2. Norway
  3. Switzerland
  4. Finland
  5. Sweden
  6. Canada
  7. Singapore
  8. Republic of Korea
  9. United Kingdom
  10. United States

These results confirm our approach to offer cloud services that run in geo-redundant data centers in Switzerland. This combines the advantages of the location, however, even with a few more: For example, the ISO 27001 certification of Safe Swiss Cloud testifies that the cloud corresponds to the highest safety standards and processes. The ISO 27018 "compliance" ensures that the industry’s best practices are guaranteed for the processing of personal data such as customer or health data. The processes and infrastructure of Safe Swiss Cloud also correspond to the guidelines of the FINMA for outsourcing of IT operation and are ideal for banking and financial services.
